Comments: Here's what listeners are saying about PAGA'
Dear Kelly,
You have been on my heart a lot lately. I was in last Days Community in Texas 1979 -1980 and visited with Keith Green the week of the plane crash in 1982. (I should have been on the plane but that's another story)
Anyway, I want you to know how much your songs have meant to me since 1979. It's not just the words, or your voice, but the Spirit of God blowing encouragement and confidence and strength though it. Simple, yet amazing! I have recently downloaded Paga from iTunes and the same Holy Spirit is still "brooding" over the recording. Strange, it's not you (or your daughter) it's JESUS!! So hard to explain what I am trying to say to you, but I hope you get a jolt of real encouragement from me to you...
Kelly, I've been your fan since your first album. From my DJ days, through my 20 years of pastoring (in Orlando, FL) and writing music reviews for various magazines, and now in my role as Writer/Campus Pastor in north GA, I was thrilled to hear each song on the new CD.
I want to send you a copy of my book Changing My Mind. It is an honest story of my battle w/ epilepsy and we have side bars w/ other stories about death, disease, and disappointment. You have been through so much. The valleys of dark shadows are not pleasant. We need honest, musical confessions like yours to bring healing to us. But I hurt for you and I'm sorry for your wars. Tell me where to send the book (each chapter title is a song title) and I'll have a friend mail it your way. Thanks again for your music.
Aloha Kelly,
Woooow! What a collection of "arrows" that shoot straight to the heart! Knowing a little of your story makes these songs even more powerful and beautiful. Thank you for your faithfulness and the desire to express the power of God and His love through your words and music. May God continue to bless you!
Just a personal note. Kelly my wife and daughter sang "Beautiful Jesus" at a mother daughter banquet at our church; I was the only guy there (running sound) beside our pastor. The theme was the bride of Christ, many unchurched ladies were there because of the nature of the event, your song was last and there were many tears as the ladies got the connection of Gods awesome love in Christ. The invitation was given to accept Jesus and be at the wedding supper of the lamb. It was a beautiful moving occasion I won?t ever forget. I give thanks as I write this note, thinking about Gods tender faithfulness shown in and through you. I am so happy he loves us and hears our cries.
